Yesterday, on THE CHEW, Chef Michael Symon spoke about restaurant behavior; what I was thrilled to see is that these are the same things that I speak about all the time.
Some highlights from yesterday:
* SPEAK UP: I just wrote about his topic on Monday: if something goes wrong, i.e. food takes too long, too cold, too salty, if there are fellow guests that are ruining your experience due to their behavior, etc…SPEAK UP. Tell your server or the manager because they truly want you to have the best experience possible and they will move heaven and earth to make that happen.
* RESPECT YOUR SERVER: Chef Symon said it beautifully: they are your server NOT your servant; and they are the hardest working people in that restaurant. You know my favorite quote by Dave Barry: “a person who is nice to you and not nice to the waiter, is not a nice person”.
