Let’s talk about a topic that’s a little controversial: pregnant women and drinking…..
Regardless of how you personally feel about this topic, if you are a service professional, and a pregnant woman orders a drink, (assuming she’s of legal drinking age), you ABSOLUTELY must serve her…..that is the law.
To NOT serve a pregnant woman alcohol would be discrimination; end of story.
Remember, it’s not your baby and it’s not your body; the only person who has the right to decide if a cocktail is appropriate is the individual.
So if a pregnant woman is seated at your bar or in your section, you are to treat her as you treat everyone else, no exception….or open yourself up to a lawsuit.
Thanks for reading.
