I hope you had a wonderful Summer…..let’s jump right in:
This is for all of my Service Professionals: it’s not just enough to listen to your guests, you must also HEAR them. Example: the other day I sat at a bar, (shocking), and I ordered a club soda with LEMON….( I know, boring; but I’m doing the Whole 30…that’s a blog for a later date). What I got was a club soda with LIME.
Is this a major issue? Yes and NO. No one is going to die if you give them lime instead of lemon for their water; however, it is bad service. The small things really do matter. It’s the little things, the little details to show superior service and hospitality.
So, even when you’re weeded, HEAR what your guest is asking for and deliver their request in a prompt manner with a friendly demeanor…..it truly makes all the difference….especially when it comes to getting those tips!
